The mmWave Intelligent Gain Block™ ICs, when configured as a high performance, high gain vector modulator, provide maximum gains of +25 dB at Ku-band and +19 dB at Ka-band. A span of 0 - 31.5 dB of gain dynamic range is provided with an LSB of 0.5 dB (6 bits) and 0.5 dB RMS error. Phase control offers 6 bits of phase resolution and an RMS phase error of 5 deg RMS. The ICs provide a +13 dBm output 1dB compression point, operate from a single +1.8V supply, and consume only 250 mW DC power at Ku-band and 370 mW at Ka-band. Each IC is packaged in compact 2.5 x 2.5 mm WLCSP packages for easy surface mount installation.
