The mmWave Intelligent Gain Block™ ICs operating as a high performance variable gain block provide +25 dB maximum gain at Ku-band and +19 dB maximum gain at Ka-band with 0 - 31.5 dB dynamic gain control with an LSB of 0.5 dB (6 bits) and a typical RMS amplitude error of 0.5 dB RMS. The ICs provide a +13 dBm output 1dB compression point, operate from a single +1.8V supply, and consume only 250 mW DC power at Ku-band and 370 mW at Ka-band. The ICs are packaged in compact 2.5 x 2.5 mm WLCSP packages for easy surface mount installation.
