Anokiwave Announces the Appointment of Industry Leaders and Innovators to Key Management Positions

 

San Diego CA, 8 April 2014:  Anokiwave, Inc., an innovative company providing highly integrated core IC solutions for mmW markets and AESA based solutions, today announced the expansion of its leadership team with the appointment of industry veterans to the roles of Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Business Development, Vice President of Sales, Distinguished Fellow of Technology, and Vice President of Engineering for the Boston Design Center. These hires come at a time of strategic expansion for Anokiwave.

Anokiwave appointed Mrs. Deborah Dendy to the role of Vice President of Operations in April of 2013. Deb will be responsible for building out Anokiwave’s supply chain. Deb comes to Anokiwave with a wealth of leadership and entrepreneurial experience in the industry. Most recently, she served as Engineering Director for ViaSat’s Advanced Microwave Products Group, where she led a team of over 80 people. She also served as IC expert and foundry liaison for the Strategic Sourcing Group at ViaSat. Deb joined ViaSat in 2002 as part of the acquisition of US Monolithics where she held mmW engineering and management roles since inception.

“Deb hit the ground running and has tackled roadblocks quickly, diligently, and enthusiastically,” said Robert Donahue, Anokiwave CEO. “Her experience with transitioning companies from design service providers to product based companies has been and will continue to be a great asset.”

Deb holds a B.S.E.E. from the University of Wisconsin and an M.S.E.E. from Arizona State University. She holds 10 US patents.

Mr. Glen Fields joined Anokiwave as the Vice President of Business Development in March of 2014. Mr. Fields will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities for Anokiwave and driving corporate strategies that create long-term value through close working relationships with Anokiwave’s strategic customers. Mr. Fields was previously Director of Aerospace and Defense at MACOM, where he was responsible for new product development, long-range strategic planning, and the overall growth of the business. Prior to this appointment, he served in various sales leadership and engineering roles at MACOM.

Glen has a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and an M.B.A. from the University of San Diego. He is a Commander in the United States Naval Reserve, with 17 years of distinguished service.

Mr. Gary St. Onge joined Anokiwave as Vice President of Sales in April of 2014. He will be responsible for growing Anokiwave’s worldwide business. Gary has a track record of success in leadership roles in sales, marketing, and engineering. Most recently, he served as the Director for New Product Engineering at MACOM where he led an international team of 25 people bringing new products to market. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President of International Sales at WIN Semiconductors Corporation, where he was responsible for substantial sales growth year to year.

Gary holds a B.S.E.E. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, an M.S.E.E. from Northeastern University, and is a graduate of Philips Andover Academy.

Dr. Ian Gresham joined Anokiwave as a Distinguished Fellow of Technology in April of 2014. Ian has extensive experience directing complex engineering projects from fundamental research through high-volume production. He has held senior engineering positions for nearly two decades. Most recently, he served as the Director of R&D and IC Systems Architect for NXP Semiconductors, where he established a new RF Microwave IC design center and built a multidisciplinary team from the ground up to develop products for the SATCOM, Multi-market, and Infrastructure market segments.

“Ian couples broad technical expertise in a variety of technologies and applications with exceptional engineering leadership abilities,” said Anokiwave CEO Bob Donahue. “Ian’s ability to work closely with customers and anticipate their needs will benefit us and our partners tremendously.”

Ian holds 11 US and EU patents and has authored or co-authored over 20 publications. He holds a both a B.S.E.E. and Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Leeds.

Robert McMorrow joined Anokiwave in May of 2014 as the Vice President of Engineering for its New England Design Center. Robert has over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, engineering leader, and innovator. Most recently, he served as a Senior Designer for Black Sand Technologies, a fabless semiconductor start-up. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Technology and CTO of Xikota Device, a company he co-founded as Star RF, where he helped to build a team of engineers, and to build marketing and executive teams.

“Rob’s extensive innovative engineering leadership as well as his entrepreneurial skills and experience will be invaluable to Anokiwave,” said CEO Bob Donahue. “His creativity and innovative drive will add significant value to our customers’ success, as well as drive our technology ever forward.”

Robert holds over 23 issued or pending patents in the RF Power field and has authored more than 50 technical and marketing papers. He holds a B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. from Cornell University and has studied Business Management at the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
