Anokiwave’s Robert Donahue Keynote Speaker at WAMICON

San Diego CA, 6 April 2015: Robert S Donahue, Anokiwave CEO will speak at the 2015 IEEE Wireless and Microwave Technology Conference (WAMICON 2015) in the First Plenary Session Talk, Tuesday, April 14, 2015.
Mr. Donahue was invited to present his vision of the mmW market for 5G and beyond. The keynote address, entitled “mmW – Accelerating Market Adoption – 5G & Beyond” will discuss how the visionary words of Gordon Moore in 1965 are still playing out in ever accelerating ways to shape our lives and the industry in which we live. The talk will explore and press on some of the almost radical changes facing our industry in a time of rapid evolution.
It is widely reported and analyzed that over-reaching mega-trends driven by the innovation of the Internet and new business models around it are driving the microwave industry in a very predictable path. These trends combined with “Moore’s Law” will enable a massive migration of wireless communication and radar application adoption into the mmW frequency region.
By the end of the decade all of us will be using mmW technology in our everyday use far more than we use existing microwave devices such as wireless cell phones. X-W Band AESA products will be embedded with our cell phones, laptops, homes, cars, and almost every other data driven application we touch.
The effects are radically far reaching for our industry.
