Phoenix, AZ, 20 May 2015: Anokiwave, Inc., an innovative company providing highly integrated core IC solutions for mmW markets and AESA based solutions, today announced the completion of a Series B round of funding. The round was led by Mr. JP Carney, CEO and co-founder of Revolabs, Mr. Lamberto Raffaelli, and COM DEV International Ltd. Anokiwave will use the funds to continue to expand its engineering team, to launch development laboratory facilities, and to rapidly expand its portfolio of innovative products for mmW 5G and complementary markets.
“24 months ago, we recognized a tipping point in our industry — the convergence of an unprecedented demand for bandwidth and the accelerating advancements in the silicon industry. At the center of this shift, next generation communication devices and radars will feature active electronically steered antennas (AESA) and will operate at mmW frequencies using highly integrated silicon core ICs. When these core chips are coupled with advanced system architectures, a disruptive change to the industry is imminent. Anokiwave leaders repositioned the company to take advantage of its rich silicon core IC IP, combined with creative system architectures for AESA, to deliver highly integrated core chip solutions that enable emerging 5G and similar markets,” said Robert S. Anokiwave has added Mr. Carney and Mr. Raffaelli to its Board of Directors. They will actively participate in Anokiwave future strategy and business development. COM DEV will become Anokiwave’s strategic partner for the space industry vertical, one of the key markets for our technology.
